The Maritme Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has been charged with the responsibility of effective distribution of electoral and voting materials by the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) to all the riverine areas of Anambra State for the successful forthcoming gubernatorial election which is scheduled for 8th November, 2025.
The Union had earlier signed a pact with INEC headquarters in Abuja during the tenure of the immediate past Chairman, Professor Mahmud Yakubu, for the distribution of voters materials in all the litoral states of the federation.
“MWUN having acquired the expertise with top speed flying boats and its seafarers in the past executed the distributions of INEC materials across the country with a superlative track record.
“The recent was the Rivers State Local Government Elections (LGA), which was also a huge success.
“In view of this, the President General of the Union, a veteran sailor has promised the people of Anambra State that his seafarers will do a proper delivery to all the litoral areas of the State for a hitch free guber election on the day.
“The INEC and the MWUN collaboration on distribution of electoral materials within the country has always been a thing of success; therefore, the Union is also well prepared in this course to assure the people of the state of efficient delivery on Saturday,” the Union said in a statement.
