Customs boss appoints new management team

The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has approved the appointment of new members to the management team of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in acting capacity and redeployment.

According to a statement by Customs Public Relations Officer, Abdulahi Maiwada, the appointments is aimed at enhancing strategic service delivery and follow the statutory retirement of some members of the management team.

The new appointments include:
– BM Jibo as Acting Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) of Finance Administration and Technical Services (FATS); OA Alajogun as Acting DCG of Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I); IG Umar as Acting Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) of Headquarters and OA Salefu as Acting ACG of Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).

Others are: BA Makinde as Acting ACG of Human Resource Development (HRD) and Timi Bomodi as Acting ACG of Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I).

“These appointments are a testament to the officers’ exemplary services and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service.

“The Service remains committed to providing strategic leadership to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for optimum performance, “the statement said.

The Comptroller General of Customs congratulated the newly appointed officers and charged them to work towards achieving greater heights in the Service’s mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling, and trade facilitation.

He also thanked the retired members of the management for their meritorious services.
