As Muslims celebrated the end of Ramadan on Sunday, the Chairman, Board of Trustee ( BoT) and immediate past President – General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria ( MWUN) Comrade Adewale Adeyanju has urged citizens to embrace peace and tolerance.
Adeyanju in a statement congratulated Muslims and urged them to observe the Sallah with love, charity, forgiveness irrespective of religious divide.
Adeyanju also admonished Muslim brothers and sisters to be of good cheers always by emulating the good deeds of Prophet Muhammad who went about doing good on earth and stood as the holy symbol of Islam.
The Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Vice President Global, International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) praised Muslim fateful for their resilience for upholding the tenets of Islam in the country especially in the area of maintaining relative peace in the country.
He further observed that the country and the world would be a better place to cohabit if this peace and tolerance is sustained for a better society where all and sundry will be joyous to dwell.
Comrade Adeyanju who is a devoted Muslim sends his warmest greetings to all the Muslims globally with heart full of gratitude.
