The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has congratulated Dr. Abubakir Dantsoho on his appointment as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
President General of the union, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, described Dantsoho as an astute administrator who has gone through all strategic departments of the Authority; hence, his appointment did not come as surprise to the Union.
Adeyanju, in a statement signed by Head of Media MWUN, Comrade Kennedy Ikemefuna, said Dr. Dantsoho’s appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his dedication, commitment, determination, discipline, and steadfastness.
Dr. Dantsoho has held various positions in the Authority, including Assistant General Manager (Servicom), Principal Manager (Tariff & Billing), and Port Manager, One Port.
He also served as Chief of Staff to the former Minister of Transportation, Alhaji Mua’zu Sambo.
The Union expressed their willingness to support and partner with Dr. Dantsoho as he takes on his new role, navigating the Authority in the maritime sector.
