The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) led by its President General, Comrade Francis Bunu, recently played host to the executives of Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN) at the Union’s secretariat in Lagos.
The BOAN delegation led by the Vice President of the association, Mr. Hyginus Chichebem Ndukwe said the visit to MWUN was to congratulate Bunu on his recent election victory and establish a colllaborative relationship with the Union.
Ndukwe highlighted the Association’s areas of interest, expressing BOAN’s readiness to work with the Union.
He also expressed their belief in MWUN’s capacity to accommodate BOAN’s operations , given its significant operations in the maritime industry.
Comrade Bunu extended a warm welcome to the BOAN executives, assuring them of MWUN’s commitment to genuine collaboration with the industry.
Bunu thanked the BOAN executives for their visit and pledged a strong working relationship once the proposed collaboration is finalised.
