The Director – General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA) through its Executive Director on Maritime Labour and Cabotage Service, Mr. Jibril Abba, has constituted a National Joint Industrial Council (NJIC) committee to start with immediate effect the already elasped Dockworkers Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for the year 2023/2024.
The committee was constituted at a meeting with the leadership of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) on Monday at NIMASA Corporate Headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The President General of MWUN Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, in a statement by the union’s Head of media Comrade John Ikemefuna, thanked the NIMASA DG, Dr. Dayo Mobereola for the gesture.
The NJIC committee on the Dockworkers Branch of MWUN is expected to do a thorough work on the new CBA.
