The elections are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
According to a letter from NLC Acting Secretary General, Comrade Benson Utah, Comrade Fasan, will oversee the election proceedings in Enugu State while Comrade Njoku will supervise the election in Ekiti State.
The NLC directed the nominated MWUN officials to work closely with the Chairperson of the NLC State Women Committee to ensure a hitch free election.
Their responsibilities, as outlined in the letter, inclue
* Collection and screening all filled nomination forms to ensure candidates meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the NLC’s guidelines.
* Accrediting delegates based on the official delegates’ list, with proper allocation to the various unions.
* Accurately tallying the scores and immediately announcing the results after the election.
* Submitting a detailed report, including the election results and all nomination forms, to the NLC National Secretariat in Abuja.
* Presentation of a goodwill message from the NLC to the participants and delegates.
The NLC set a deadline of August 25, 2025, for the submission of a brief report on the election outcomes adding that report must include the names of all contestants, their positions, scores, and any relevant remarks.
