The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority ( NPA) Abubakar Dantsoho has extended his condolences to Eder Asu Beks , CEO Maritime Media Limited and family following the passing of his wife, Mrs Helen Asu Beks.
This comes as the family formally announces the burial arrangement for the deceased.
Mrs Asu Beks died on Thursday, November 13, 2025, aged 58.
In a condolence message addressed to Elder Asu Beks , the MD conveyed the condolences of the entire NPA management and Staff, emphasising the irreplaceable role of a wife.
“On behalf of the Management and Steff of Nigerian Ports Authority, I write to express our deepest condolences on the demise of your beloved wife – Mrs Helen Asu Beks.
“Nothing prepares us for the death of wife whose role es a companion and moulder of children to their full potential is irreplaceable.
“It is often hard to find the right word at a time like this, but I am hopeful that the good memories you have of her will comfort you in the days ahead.
“I pray God grants your entire family the fortitude to beer the irreparable loss,”the message reads.
Meanwhile, Elder Asu Beks on behalf of the family in a notice on Wednesday said the burial arrangements will begin on Thursday December 18 with a Service of Songs at Sunfit Suites ,Amuwo Odofin, Lagos by 4pm.
He added that the Funeral Service will hold on Friday, Dec 19, 2025 at Shonibare Sports Complex, 27/33 Sam Shonibare Street,Off Jubril Martins, Off Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos at 10 am while interment will follow there after.
