The Sea Empowerment Research Centre (SEREC) has extended his ongratulations to former President of the Association of Nigerian License Customs Agents ( ANLCA) Prince Olayiwola Shittu on his appointment as an International Peace Advocate by the Positive Livelihood Award Centre (UN-POLAC).
In a statement issued by the Head of Research, SEREC, the centre described the appointment as a well deserved recognition of Shittu’s dedication to peace building and transformative leadership within the nation”s maritime sector.
“This prestigious recognition is a testament to his enduring commitment to peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and exemplary leadership within Nigeria’s maritime industry—particularly the freight forwarding sub-sector.
“His legacy of fostering unity, professionalism, and constructive engagement among practitioners continues to inspire confidence and stability across the industry.
“We commend this honour as not only a personal achievement but also a proud milestone for the entire freight forwarding community. It reinforces the critical role of visionary leadership in advancing harmony, institutional growth, and sustainable development.
“We wish Prince Shittu continued success in this noble global assignment and are confident that his contributions will further elevate the standards of peace advocacy and industry cohesion both nationally and internationally, ” the statement reads.
