To solidify its status as the leading terminal operator in Nigeria and position the company for its next strategic level growth phase, Tin Can Island Container Terminal, operator of Terminal B, Tin Can Island Port has appointed Philips Ojo to oversee and lead its corporate communications strategies and initiatives.
In this new role, Ojo will spearhead internal and external communications, brand management, CSR and sustainability, stakeholder engagement, advertising, and social media management.
Ojo is a communications professional with a background in journalism and corporate communications.
He began his career as a journalist with DailySun Newspaper before joining the corporate communications department of SIFAX Group in 2015 and rose to become a Deputy Manager in the department.
He is a graduate of Masters of Transport Planning and Logistics; B.Sc Mass Communication (Journalism) and B.A. History and International Relations from the Lagos State University.
He is also an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and has attended various trainings at the School of Communications, Pan Atlantic University; Orange Academy; Wordslingers, Webloft Concepts, and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
