The All-Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has vowed to ensure the actualisation of the much-awaited Ibom deep seaport to boost economic activities in the state if elected President of Nigeria.
Tinubu while addressing the APC presidential campaign in Akwa Ibom State on Monday said the Lekki deep seaport built during his tenure as Lagos state governor had been completed and therefore, he has the experience on how best to complete one for the state.
Tinubu said Akwa Ibom people wouldn’t suffer again, adding that the state was blessed with enormous water resources to support the establishment of a deep seaport in the state.
He said, “We’ll do mechanised farming. We’ll export food from Akwa Ibom. We’ll build your deep seaport. I have completed the Lekki Deep Seaport in Lagos. Akwa Ibom people will not suffer again. Nigerians will not suffer again.”
The presidential hopeful who assured Akwa Ibom people that his power to become president rests on the people promised to eradicate poverty, create employment and make Nigerians happy.
He decried ongoing fuel scarcity in Nigeria and promised to put an end to such a crisis as soon as sworn into office.
“God will put you in the right direction to vote for the right person. I guarantee you that fuel scarcity will stop. You will not suffer again. Go and get your PVC and vote for the right person”. he said.
