In preparation for the 2025 Women in Maritime & Energy (WIME) Awards scheduled for March 28, a delegation from the WIME board led by the Chairperson Dr. Chizoba Anyika, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of Adelaar Energy Limited, Mrs. Grace Orife.
The visit aimed to discuss strategic collaboration and women advocacy growth opportunities within the maritime and energy sectors.
The WIME board on the visit including
Abiola Soremekun and Tunbosun Afolayan, highlighted the importance of amplifying the impacts and need for balanced representation, professional development, and leadership roles for women in the industry.

The CEO who is also a co-chair of the African Women Business Energy Network of the African Energy Week AEC, expressed commitment to supporting initiatives that promote knowledge and skill acquisition, enabling engagement to women in maritime and energy.
The discussion also explored potential partnerships for visibility enabling initiatives that align with the broader vision of the 2025 Women in Maritime and Energy Awards.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to driving meaningful change and inspiring all female in these critical sectors for a more equitable and dynamic industry landscape.
The 2025 Women in Maritime and Energy Awards will honor outstanding women, allies and organisations who have made significant contributions to the maritime and energy sectors.
