The Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital (NNRH), Ojo, has issued a public notice to families and relatives of deceased persons currently deposited in its mortuary facility.
In the notice issued by the Commander of the NNRH Ojo, Capt. Aliyu Oyemeyin, the hospital revealed that the affected bodies include those deposited between August 2018 and December 2025.
The hospital directed members of the public who have deceased relatives at the facility to come forward and claim them within two weeks.
The hospital management emphasized that all claimants must present necessary proof and documentation before any body will be released.
The management warned that upon expiration of the 14-day grace period, the NNRH would liase with the appropriate government authorities to conduct a mass burial for the unclaimed bodies without further recourse to the families or relatives.
