President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday commissioned a series of landmark projects in Ogun State including the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A- the anti smuggling arm of the Nigeria Customs Service multi- billion naira new office building at Iperu.
The President also inaugurated the Customs Training College situated within the same facility.

The dual commissioning underscores the Tinubu -led administration’s commitment to modernizing the Nigeria Customs Service through better infrastructure and specialized personnel training.

Earlier, the President had commissioned the Gateway International Airport, Iperu and two newly acquired aircraft under Gateway Air- marking the official takeoff of the State’s Aviation initiative in partnership with ValueJet among other major infrastructure projects in Ogun State.
The President was accompanied to the inauguration of the Customs facilities by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, Iyabo Obasanjo, Lagos State Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, Senator representing Ogun West, Solomon Adeola and other top government functionaries.
The new FOU Zone A office, which is now fully operational signals a new era of vigilance and professionalism in Nigeria’s Customs Service anti-smuggling efforts.
