Primetime Reporters, a publication of Chisann Communications, has concluded plans to hold its annual lecture and awards ceremony on October 15, 2026, as part of its contribution to national development and the growth of Nigeria’s maritime and logistics sector.
The event, which is the fifth edition, is scheduled to take place at 10:00 a.m. at Rockview Hotels, GRA, Apapa, Lagos.
Themed “Smarter Gateways, Greener Logistics: Leveraging the Port Community System and National Single Window for Zero-Emission Trade,” the annual lecture is expected to examine how digitalisation and integrated trade platforms can transform Nigeria’s ports and logistics ecosystem while promoting environmentally sustainable trade.
Speaking on the theme, the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of Primetime Reporters, Saint Augustine Nwadinamuo, said the media organisation intends to promote a more efficient, digitally connected, environmentally sustainable and globally competitive Nigerian port and logistics system.
Nwadinamuo explained that the lecture would demonstrate how Nigeria could leverage digital technology, particularly the Port Community System, PCS and National Single Window, NSW, to transform its ports from congested and paper-intensive gateways into smart, interconnected and environmentally sustainable trade corridors.
According to him, the lecture would seek to stimulate practical strategies for deploying digital technologies and integrated trade platforms to improve port efficiency, reduce cargo dwell time and logistics costs, eliminate unnecessary processes and cut carbon emissions.
He said such measures would ultimately position Nigeria’s maritime gateways as smarter, greener and globally competitive engines of economic growth.
Nwadinamuo also disclosed that the occasion would provide an opportunity to recognise and honour deserving Nigerians and distinguished stakeholders who have made significant contributions to the development of the maritime industry and the wider Nigerian economy.
He said the award recipients would include chief executives of government agencies, terminal operators, shipping companies and other eminent stakeholders whose contributions have impacted positively on the sector.

The Primetime Reporters boss added that the organisation had, after a painstaking assessment, selected some worthy stakeholders for recognition, stressing that the awards were designed to encourage excellence and inspire others to contribute to the transformation of the critical sector.
“We have, after painstaking efforts, selected some worthy stakeholders who have been pencilled down for awards as a means of encouraging them and those still sitting on the fence to continue in their various efforts aimed at transforming this critical sector of the Nigerian economy.
“We believe that no good work should go unnoticed,” he added.
Nwadinamuo therefore called on government agencies, professional associations, corporate organisations, maritime stakeholders and individuals to partner with Primetime Reporters towards ensuring the success of the 2026 Annual Lecture and Awards.
