President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of three Deputy Comptroller Generals of Customs (DCGs) and three Assistant Comptroller Generals of Customs (ACGs).
The new Customs management team came following the appointment of Adewale Adeniyi as Acting Comptroller General of Customs by Tinubu on June 19 and the retirement of some
management members in the Service.
Customs spokesman, Abdulahi Maiwada in a statement listed the news DCGs as Festus Okun, Musa Abdullahi and Albashir Hamisu while the ACGs are Kamardeen Olumoh, Auwal Mohammed and Adeogun Alajogun.
While thanking the retired members of the management for their meritorious
service, the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale
Adeniyi congratulated the newly appointed officers and charged them to
redouble their efforts to ensure the Service achieves greater heights in its
mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation.
