The President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) Comrade Adewale Adeyanju has mourned the death of the union’s Chief Accountant, Comrade Timothy Olorunsola.
Adeyanju, who expressed sadness over the sudden death of Olorunshola, which sad incident occurred on Wednesday after the Sallah holiday describes him as a diligent and submissive officer.
He said, “With a deep sense of loss, we announce the sudden and painful demise of the union’s chief accountant, Comrade Timothy Olufemi Olorunsola, yesterday being Wednesday 13th July 2022 here in Lagos.
“Com. Timothy Olorunsola who hails from Ondo joined the then automous union of Nigerian Ports Authority later amalgamated as a branch of MWUN as clerical account officer and through dint of hard rose through the ranks to attain the prestigious position of chief accountant of the union.
“Until his death he served the union diligently, faithfully and in total commitment to duty and his fellowship.
“We pray for the repose of his beautiful soul and pray that God grant the family and the union the fortitude to bear this loss.”
