The beneficiaries namely, Comrade Abubakar Bello, Comrade Akeem Lawal and Comrade Adebisi Ogedengbe, the President said were rewarded with the car gifts in appreciation for their dedication, commitment and support for his administration.

According to Comrade Ohize, the presentation of cars and other gifts to dockworkers is a practice initiated by his predecessors.
He said, “This is what I met on the ground. It is what my predecessors did while they were in office. But because of the difficult time in the country, it took us time to start but I promise that it will get to everybody before my tenure ends.

“The gift is to show that you recognize those working with you and that will motivate them to cooperate and work diligently with you and ensure that what belongs to the workers gets to them.”
While congratulating the beneficiaries, Ohize assured that the branch under his leadership is poised to do more and put smiles on the face of dockworkers.
