The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) said all is set for the official opening of the NIMASA Maritime Museum, which it said is the first in Nigeria.

The agency disclosed this in a statement issued at the weekend.
The Director-General of NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Jamoh while inspecting the museum over the weekend, highlighted its multifaceted role in archiving, educating stakeholders, and boosting tourism for both local and international visitors.

The inauguration of this pioneering museum marks a noteworthy milestone in preserving and showcasing Nigeria’s maritime heritage.
