The Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Prince Segun Oduntan has been honored as the Most Outstanding Customs Broker of the Year 2024.
The prestigious award was presented to Oduntan at the 27th edition of the Maritime Industry Merit Award (MIMA) organised by Maritime Media Limited, Publishers of Shipping World Magazine at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos on Tuesday.
Prince Oduntan was among other distinguished stakeholders honoured for for their outstanding contribution to the Nigerian maritime sector.
Oduntan was accompanied by a multitude of supporters, including ANLCA’s National President, Emenike Nwokeoji, Board members- Ademola Mumuney, Dayo Azeez, NECOM members, chapter Chairmen and executives from Lagos, Port Harcourt and Onne.
Royal fathers such as the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Semiudeed Orimadegun Kasali, His Royal Majesty Oba Sejiro James of Kweme Kingdom in Badagry were also in attendance.
In his welcome address, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee of MIMA, Prince Olayiwola Shittu said the award is more than just recognition but about celebrating resilience, innovation, and the impact the distinguished maritime stakeholders have made, which takes the nation closer to actualizing the much-anticipated transformation of the Marine and Blue economy.
“Tonight is about celebrating how far we’ve come as individuals, organisations, unions, and associations. As we celebrate and reward excellence, we are also looking ahead to stimulate more innovative, accountable, and patriotic leadership traits for a sustainable maritime sector.
“This year’s event, themed: “Rewards of Excellence”, is an acknowledgment and a celebration of exceptional performance, achievements and contributions of diverse stakeholders in the nation’s maritime sector. It is our belief that these awards will be an extra motivation to awardees and other industry players to strive for even greater achievements,” he said.
Prince Segun Oduntan is a renowned and accomplished practitioner in the freight forwarding, logistics and shipping industry.
He studied Mass Communication from the University of Nsukka. A fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Shipping, Prince Oduntan holds numerous honorary awards in the shipping and freight industry in Nigeria.
As the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Settle Systems Nigeria Limited , established in 1998, with offices in Apapa, Ikeja, Port Harcourt ,Abuja and other sister companies in Nigeria, Prince Oduntan has made indelible contributions to the maritime and logistics sectors.

Prince Oduntan distinguished himself not only in his field of endeavor but also in humanitarian causes and acts of patriotism.
His commitment to service is further demonstrated by his involvement in various organizations including the Lagos Country Club.
In recognition of his professional excellence, contribution to the maritime industry, Prince Oduntan was presented with the Most Outstanding Customs Broker of the Year 2024 award on Tuesday night in Lagos.
