The Comptroller General of Customs, Hameed Ali, has condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian Armed Forces, families and friends of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru and other military officers and crew, who died in the unfortunate air-crash in Kaduna on the 21st May 2021.
In a press statement issued by the Customs spokesman, Joseph Attah, Ali expressed the sadness of officers and men of the NCS over the sudden death of the military officers.
Describing the late COAS as disciplined military professional with exceptional passion for peace and a strong partner in the ongoing fight against smuggling”, Ali prayed for the repose of their patriotic souls.
While noting that a tragic incident like this could be capable of dampening the moral of personnel, the CGC urged members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, particularly the Nigerian Army, to remain strong and focused in the ongoing fight against insurgency and other security challenges in the country.
