The management of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has met with the Nigerian Indigenous Shipowners Association (NISA) Cabotage Vessel Financing Fund (CVFF) Steering Committee as the Federal government plans disbursement of the CVFF.
The NISA CVFF Committee was led by its Chairman Dr. Edward Sohwo to the meeting held recently in Lagos.
According to a statement by Head of Public Relations Unit, NIMASA, Osagie Edward, the consultation and engagement with the shipowners is to ensure effective communication to attain seamless disbursement of the CVFF as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
NIMASA Director General, Dr. Bashir Jamoh reassured indigenous shipowners of the commitment of the Agency under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Transportation, to implement the Presidential approval for the disbursement of the fund.
