The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has directed its technical partners, Truck Transit Parks Limited, TTP, to enforce the mandatory implementation of the Nigeria Export Proceed (NXP) as a key requirement for processing export cargoes.
The initiative aims to enhance efficiency and streamline operations at the nation’s ports.
In a notice issued to stakeholders in the maritime industry, TTP announced that effective this month, all export trucks will be required to comply with the NXP procedure before accessing the ports.
The notice urged stakeholders to familiarize themselves with the requirements and adhere strictly to avoid disruptions in cargo processing and transportation.
The notice read in part: “Mandatory Implementation of Nigeria Export Proceed (NXP) for Export Trucks. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has directed that, effective February 2025, the implementation of the Nigeria Export Proceed (NXP) will be mandatory for the movement of all export trucks to the port.
“This measure is aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing the efficiency of export processes. To ensure a smooth transition, all stakeholders are kindly required to familiarize themselves with the NXP requirements and adhere strictly to the new procedures.
“Compliance is essential to avoid disruption in the processes and transportation of export goods.
“We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to ensuring seamless port operations.”
